RESERVATION INFORMATION
Each participant is responsible for booking their own
reservations and making payment arrangements. The Marriott System
is now ready to take reservations. To make reservations ONLY,
participants should call 800-962-6982; any other inquires should
be to 719-260-1800.
NOTE this 800# is NOT the "Central Marriott
Reservation" phone number. It is a direct line to the COS
Marriott reservation desk. Should the COS reservation lines be
busy, there is a provision for participants to contact the
central number.
Registrants should ask for ICRE98/IEEE.
The room rate is $117 per night (double or single occupancy) plus
applicable taxes. The rate is guaranteed for reservations
received no later than March 16, 1998. The current rate is
8.1% (and varies slightly from time-to-time). The tax rate that
will be applied will be the rate in effect at time of occupancy.
TRAVEL RECOMMENDATIONS
Easiest optimization: Fly to Colorado Springs (airline code:
COS), take a cab (Taxi) to the hotel. AT THE MOMENT, this
alternative should also yield the lowest airfare costs as
compared to flying to Denver. However, the market is changing
(due to a discount carrier pulling out of this market) and the
cost savings may be reduced fairly soon.
Next optimization: Fly to COS, rent a car (higher cost, more
flexibility).
Next optimization: Fly to Denver (airline code: DEN), take a
shuttle bus (lowest DEN alternative cost, much higher aggravation
rate...plan on 3-4 hour experience). If needed, I will obtain a
list of shuttle services and prices.
Next optimization: Fly to DEN, rent a car (approximately 90
minutes from DEN to Marriott).
Next: Fly to DEN, take a cab (at least $110).
